At such times, people are sort of at a loss and miss a very important moment. Nadezhda Mandelstam once wrote about such a moment in her book The Second. She wrote: "In a period of ferment and disintegration, the meaning of the recent past suddenly becomes clear, because there is still no indifference to the future, but the argumentation of yesterday has already collapsed and the lie is sharply different from the truth. One must take stock when an era, ripe in the depths of the past and with no future, is completely exhausted and a new one has not yet begun. But this moment is almost always missed, and people go into the future without realizing the past."
We will try not to miss this moment and look both to the past and to the future, using this period as a magnifying glass, especially the 2022nd year-it was a very eventful year-it was the culmination of a three-year period. We will look at these events--the events of these three years--as events. The great French historian Fernand Braudel once said that "events are dust. What did he mean by that? He meant to say that events only make sense if they are placed in a larger context. The next event is very interesting, it has a double bottom. From September 13 to 15 an apostolic visit of Pope Francis I to Kazakhstan took place.
